WALK ALONG JOHN (WITH YOUR PAPER COLLAR ON) [2]. Old-Time, Breakdown. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A variant, not as well known as “Walk along John (1). Seattle fiddler Stuart Williams had this tune from Earl Willis of Springfield, Oregon, originally from Mineola, Missouri. The tune reminds some of the Blue Ridge version of “Cousin Sally Brown (1).”
