VALSE DE GRANDE PRAIRIE (Grand Prairie Waltz). Cajun, Waltz. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part. Grand Prairie is a town located east of Ville Platte, Louisiana. Raymond Francois (1990) says the song has different moods, with the first verse being a happy one (love gained) while the second is unhappy (love lost).
