"A Trip to Nottingham" was printed with directions for a country dance in all four editions of London music publisher John Young's Second Volume of the Dancing Master (1710-1728), and also in rival London publisher John Walsh's Second Book of the New Country Dancing Master (1710) and his Second Book of the Compleat Country Dancing Master, 3d Edition (1735 and 1749).
