Composed by Aberdeenshire fiddler-composer biography:Alexander Walker, for many years employed as a gardener by Sir Charles Forbes of Castle Newe. The title honors Sir James Milne Innes of Balvenie and Edingight, 11th Bt. (1808-1878), who held the offices of Justice of the Peace and Deputy Lieutenant. Edingight House and farm-steading in the parish of Grange in Moray, Scotland, was his seat.
