O'DRISCOLL'S FAVOURITE. AKA - "O'Driscoll's Fancy." AKA and see "Maid in the Box." Irish, Reel. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune is attributed to Belfast fiddler wikipedia:Sean_McGuire (1927-2005) by Josephine Keegan in her book Drop in the Ocean (2004), where the reel appears as "O'Driscoll's Fancy," an attribution and title (as Fr. John Quinn points out) also used by fiddler, accordion player and bagpiper Frank McCollam (1910-1973?, of Ballycastle, County Antrim) in his music manuscript collection. McCollam received his first fiddle lessons from Johnny Crawford (Sr.) of Ballinlea, County Antrim.
