MISS ELLIOT'S STRATHSPEY. Scottish, Strathspey (whole time). C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Composed by Edinburgh musician, teacher and music publisher biography:William Shepherd (d. 1812). The tune preceding this one in Shepherd's collection is "Miss Charlotte Elliot’s Reel." and presumably they were to be played as a pair.
