AABB.The melody also was published as a country dance tune "Gang to the Kirk" in John Walsh's The Compleat Country Dancing-Master, Volume the Third (London, 1749, p. 35). London musician Thomas Hammersley entered it into his 1790 music manuscript copybook under the title "Gang to Ye Coy," and, later in the next century, Manchester, England, musician biography:John Roose copied it as "Go to Cow with Me Johnny."
