DUKE OF SUSSEX'S REEL. AKA and see "England's Glory," "May Day (5)," "Parson in the Suds." English, Reel (whole time). G Major (Winter): F Major (Sands). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was entered into the c. 1810 music manuscript of Thomas Sands (Lincolnshire), and can also be found in the mid-19th century music manuscript of William Winter (1774-1861), a shoemaker and violin player who lived in West Bagborough in Somerset, southwest England.
