BRIDGE OF KYNNACHAN, THE. Scottish, Reel (whole time). A Mixoldyian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Robertson, in Memories of Rannoch says, ‘Tummel-bridge is known among Gaelic-speaking natives to this day as Drochaid Choinneachan (Bridge of Kynachan)'. The bridge was built for General Wade by John Stewart of Kynachan, Perthshire, in 1733 and for that reason is known locally as Kynachan Bridge.
