BRANDYWINE. American, Reel (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Brandywine" was perhaps named after the famous mountain music festival held in southeastern Pennsylvania. The tune is played by both bluegrass and old-time musicians, although the versions can differ. Bluegrass fiddler Kenny Baker's version is similar to the version played by old-time musicians in the second strain, which is similar to the first strain in old-time versions.
