WALLOP THE WATTLE O!. AKA and see "Ballinakill Polka," "East Galway Set Polka (The)," "Pussy Got the Measles," "Sonny Riordan's." Irish, Polka (2/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A version of “Lancers (1) (The).” One of the alternate titles, "Sonny Riordan's," honors Andrew "Sonny" Riordan of Gneeveguilla, Sliabh Luachra, Co. Kerry, born in 1918. He was a pupil of fiddle-master Pàdraig O'Keeffe, and remembered the O'Keeffe could converse and write out tunes at the same time (some of which he still had some fifty years later).
