VON WEBER’S FAVORITE WALTZ. German, Waltz. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCC. A waltz from the popular opera Der Freischutz by German composer Carl Maria von Weber [1] (1786-1826), one of the earliest important composers of the Romantic period. The melody was entered as an untitled waltz in Book 1 of County Leitrim musician biography:Stephen Grier's large 1883 music manuscript collection (No. 18).
