Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCC. The title is a garbled version of the Irish Toirdhealbhach Láidir, which means ‘strong or brave Turlough’. O’Neill gives the Irish title as “Toirdhealbhach Treun” (see “Turlough, the Brave”), although the latter word is spelled tréan in modern usage. It also means ‘strong or brave’.
