ROARING RIVER [1]. Old-Time. The title appears in a list of traditional Ozarks Mountains fiddle tunes compiled by musicologist/folklorist Vance Randolph, published in 1954. The Roaring River is a 14.9-mile-long (24.0 km) river in Barry County, Missouri, in the Ozarks. It is a tributary of the White River.
