RATHAWAUN. AKA and see "Frost is All Under (The), “Hare in the Corn (6), "Old Hag in the Corner (1) (The)” Irish, Single or Double Jig, or Slide (12/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was paired with "Hare in the Corn (4) (The)" on Co. Kerry fiddling siblings Denis Murphy and Julia Clifford's influential 1969 recording. The "Hare in the Corn" alternate title for this tune (played variously as a single or double jig, or a slide) may have become attached due to this pairing.
