DE'EL'S DEAD. AKA and see "Mrs. Dundas McQueen," "Niel Gow's Wife (2)." English, Reel (cut time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. "De'el's Dead" is cognate with Francis Peacock's c. 1805 "Niel Gow's Wife (2)" and with Aird's "Mrs. Dundas McQueen" (1801), although not an exact replicate. The first strains are very similar, while the second strains are less so, but still reasonably the same tune.
