FLORIDA CRACKERS. American, Hornpipe. F Major. Standard tuning. AABB. Composition credited to Frank Livingston, who contributed a number of pieces to Ryan's Mammoth Collection, many of which have titles that have to do with the southern states. To date, nothing definitive is known about the composer, but William Bradbury Ryan seems to have drawn from New England journeyman composers for contributions to his collection. See note for "Georgia Crackers" for more on the title and the meaning of 'crackers'.
