BLUEJAY, THE. American, Double Jig. A Major ('A' part) & E Dorian ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. Composed by guitarist and accordion player Creighton Lindsay (originally from upstate New York, now resident of Corvallis). He told Susan Songer (Portland Collection) that he wrote the tune one "very cold, wet evening" in Bielefeld, Germany while recalling a hot recording session he took part in some years before at the Bluejay Recording Studio, Carlisle, Massachusetts.

Printed source: Songer (Portland Collection), 1997; p. 33.

Recorded source: Jigsaw - "Cut Up the Floor."
