RIPPLE OF THE TEIGN. English, Jig. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Composed by Devon melodeon player Bob Cann [1] (1917-1990). Barry Callaghan (2007) notes that source Cann used to alternate between the keys of G and D when playing the tune. He also explains that Cann did not write down the second strain until some considerable time after the first part, and that in the interim other second strain sections had been appended to the first.
