KITTEN, THE. AKA and see "Kid on the Mountain (3)," "Mad Moll," "Ride a Mile," "Yellow Stockings." Irish, Slip Jig. E Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCDD. Some see relationships to "Humors of Whiskey (2) (The)." Peter Kennedy printed the tune as "Kid on the Mountain" but it is not the tune that usually goes by that name, and is note-for-note O'Farrell's "The Kitten." Compare also with the song air "Hey My Kitten, My Kitten."
