A. G. A. QUADRILLE. American, Quadrille or Reel (cut time). U.S.A., North Dakota. E Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. This is Figure 4 of the A.G.A. Quadrille by O. F. "Cub" Berdan, published in Philadelphia in 1880 by T.A. Bacher. The original sheet music is in the online collection of the Library of Congress. The tune appears in the music notebook of Elvy Osborne (b. 1882); Osborne was a barber in Minot, N.D., who fiddled on the side. Pancerzewski (1988) notes that Osborne marked this tune "Minot, North Dakota, 1932."
