COOLEY WALTZ, THE. Old-Time, Waltz. USA, Nebraska. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB.

Source for notated version: Robert E. "Uncle Bob" Walters (Burt County, Neb.) [Christeson]. Walters (1889-1960), whom Christeson recorded some 30 different times over a ten year period. He was valued for his vast repertoire of tunes and his clear precise fingering. Although he played a cheap German-made fiddle, "He could make any fiddle sound good," said Christeson.

Printed source: R.P. Christeson (Old-Time Fiddlers Repertory, vol. 2), 1984; p. 151.
